My Story

Hello, and thanks for visiting. I’m John Wyatt. Filmmaker, Photographer, and Graphic Designer.

I spent 35 years in telecommunications before realizing I missed creating art. I liked the work, but I felt the pull to tell stories. That brought me back to school, where I earned my Associate in Art with high honors from Richland Community College and later graduated from Millikin University with a BS in Film and Video Production, summa cum laude.

I’ve written and directed films that earned awards and festival recognition. I served as creative director with 1901 Productions and helped shape the visual style of our projects. I also create motion graphics and award winning film posters with clean detail and strong visual choices.

My work includes filming college athletes, photographing Millikin summer art and music camps, and capturing engagement sessions and bridal showers. I work across writing, directing, cinematography, editing, photography, and design. I focus on clear storytelling and visuals that support the emotion of each project.
